2024-25 Projects
YouTube Channel
@TheSpotlightFoundation
On our YouTube channel, we post educational videos on various topics such as mental health issues, breathing techniques, and more! We are also conducting a series called Monthly Spotlight, where we select a different mental health professional to highlight each month. In these videos, we interview local professionals and discuss different forms and perspectives of art therapy!

Community Health Fair
A Collaboration with Parker University
At Parker University's Community Health Fair, we hosted a scrapbooking table and discussed the benefits of crafting on mental wellness. We were able to contribute to the goal of the health fair, which was to encourage people to take steps toward improved physical health.
Healthy Connections Wellness Expo
A Collaboration with Jacob Way Org.
We had the opportunity to partner with Jacob Way Organization, an organization dedicated to providing financial support to families with children diagnosed with cancer. At this event, we handed out brochures about physical and mental wellbeing and spread awareness for our cause.

Rhythms Workshops
A Collaboration with Able Mindset
We had the opportunity to partner with Able Mindset, an organization aiming to empower people with disabilities. Together, we hosted Rhythms Workshops in order to raise awareness about how different rhythms can impact mental health through art activities.
Arts Goodie Bag Donations
A Collaboration with Children's Health Plano
We created goodie bags with various crafts, origami, pipe cleaner animals, and positive affirmations for patients at the Children's hospital in Plano. We are grateful to have had the opportunity to spread positivity through art among children at this hospital as well!

Frisco Arts Festival
In our original community-wide event, we hosted tables with crafts (including face painting, henna, and origami-making) and spotlighted local mental health and art organizations such as Mind over Matter and Arts for Hearts. We also had food, games (such as Cup Pong and Bean Bag Toss), a photo booth, and HOSA volunteers to spread the word about HOSA and help make the event a success!

The Clean Canvas Project
A Collaboration with The Art Room
Our Clean Canvas Project is a cleaning supplies drive for The Art Room, a local non-profit that provides art resources for those struggling with their mental health. We collected items such as Kleenex, paper towels, wipes, and more. As a whole we collected over 50 supplies!
